Is there anything for which you would give up your life?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 29, 2008:
My current...secular life...? Yes. And the answer is for the higher calling of God. My life as I live it now...is not really life nor living; as I cannot experience the fullness of all things meant for me, due to the lack of spiritual alignment. I would give up the things that I indulge in now that bring momentary satisfaction...for that greater happiness of being closer to God. Or inconceivable "joy" is a more apt title for it. I would trade this life for that......if I weren't so scared of disappointing Him and those around me. Though, I am aware no person is perfect....my worldly obsession with perfection leaves me stagnant in such an endeavor.
